Established in the early ‘80s, properties are usually weekend cottages, planned retirement homes or the main residence of those working away, so furnished with personal touches.

Style
Ranging from traditional Lakeland farmhouse sleeping 14 to a luxury apartment sleeping two. "While some may be more luxuriously or more tastefully appointed than others, all are very carefully prepared and looked after." Has more than 10 pairs of groups of cottages suitable for two families wanting to be adjacent but not together, plus a similar number suitable for large family groups either n single units or larger plus smaller attached.

Included at all properties, at 25% including towels.
Heating
Included in most properties (both gas and electricity).
Facilities
All properties welcome children and all with open fires have fireguards although not all hook into place. Almost all properties have some board games and jigsaws and may have video, and several have either a games room with table tennis and/or pool tables while a few more have ‘knockabout rooms. Cots and high chairs provided at around 20% of properties or rentable at others, £11 cots, £10 high chairs, per let. Some of the staff run a babysitting service between them.
Extra
Free leisure club membership is offered at all properties. Know of a couple of ladies who will cook for people in their houses by arrangement.
Short Breaks
Only available two weeks before, minimum stay three nights.
