The Good Holiday Cottage Guide reports not one complaint in more than 15 years from what it describes as a household name in the West Country. It is said that no cottage is accepted on to the books without some improvement being made. Staff are briefed to be able to find a property to meet a specification.

From large farmhouses to luxury waterside apartment, the idea being that they offer extra touches to make them feel comfortable, not just a temporary home. Washing machines are standard, around 50% offer a freezer and larger properties tend to have a dishwasher. Though there is a range of standards, the look, including interiors, is generally better than average. Around 5% are not recommended for children for safety reasons.
