Where

A family-owned language school based in a 16th century mansion in a small village, offering immersion in a French environment.

Ages

Family courses are available for those with children over 3 years. For those who wish there is a licensed daycare centre in the summer where younger children can meet locals of the same age. Alternatively qualified babysitters are also available year-round.

How Long

Families can stay anything from one to six weeks and those with children over 10 years will get 25 lessons of 45 minutes each week (totalling 20 hours) and those with under 10s will get 21 lessons (totalling 17 hours per week) Monday to Friday.

Other Activities

Outside the classroom possible activities include forest walks, swimming, horse riding, kayaking, canoeing on the Loire, golfing, tennis, and visits to chateaux and local towns and particularly recommend for children, swimming, canoeing, visits to castles and farms, pottery painting and ore. Cookery lessons are available as an optional extra and once or twice a week interested students can be dinner guests at a local family home.

Accommodation

The school includes its own apartments. Off-site self-catering houses and apartments are also available nearby.

Cost

One week for an adult and child over 10 years costs €385 and for three weeks or more there are discounts starting from 10%. Children under 10 are charged at €240 for one week, with discounts available from three weeks. A two-bedroom apartment on site would be €690 per week.
