Recommendations
Winter Magic in Lapland, reported popular with families with accommodation in comfortable log cabins rather than a hotel, and a range of activity options including dog sledding, snow mobiling and a visit to reindeer herds and a glimpse of Saami life. Pure dog sledding holidays are considered unsuitable for children under 10 or 12 as they will have little to do but sit on the sledge. After that age they could try their hand at guiding the dogs on a variety of programmes. Pure snow mobile holidays are also available but driving is limited to 15+.

For Winter Magic in Lapland, £550 per person, based on two adults and two children, return flights from £225 per person. Pure dog sledding from £185 per person for five days.
