Not actually Lapland but similar - offers a weekend break to Iceland with a Saturday trip to meet Santa at a riding centre outside Reykjavik. After carols and lunch (gourmet Icelandic menu for grown-ups; children's special) there are presents and horse riding (after seeing Santa ride off ). Adults and 10+ ride for an hour through spectacular countryside. Younger children are led on horseback around the centre's paddock. Afterwards is hot chocolate and Icelandic Christmas cookies.
