Style

Running since 1989, and specializing in family cycling. Particularly knowledgeable about children: the couple running this have been teachers and have three under 13's of their ownMechanical backup is available in case of problems. All specialist equipment, bikes, camping equipment and route maps are included in the price.

Accommodation

One-week tours in family-run hotels on a b&b basis, one or two-week camping tours (this carrying lightweight equipment of around 8lbs per bike), plus a caravan and a child-friendly holiday cottage big enough for two families. Fixed centre option available either in the cottage or in little ‘village' of four fixed centre camping tents ? these producing ‘a real family atmosphere at the campsite with plenty of other kids to play with'.

Age Accepted

4 months youngest so far. If taking children “please ring us and we can discuss your best option... We can offer several routes which are ideal for children with a maximum mileage of 15 miles and camp sites with playgrounds, beaches etc.”

Bikes

24 gear tourers, hybrids and tandems are offered. Top quality (retail circa £600) Bikes available down to 4' 6” to fit smaller children, also small mountain bikes with gears, for 6 to 10 year olds. Trailer bikes for children 4 to 8 years. Also kiddy-back tandem, 1 and 2 seat baby trailers and baby seats for under 4s.

One week camping for two adults and two 9-4 year olds £550, plus an estimated £50 extra for camping site hire. One week with hotels costs £395 per adult, 17-10s £320, 9-4s £235 and under 3s £150.
