Holidays by Destination Europe France Roussillon Attitudes to Children

Play

There are plenty of playground and other children's entertainment in the resorts, particularly coastal but also inland like Fort Romeu on the Cerdagne Plateau.

Baby Changing Facilities

None found. There are picnic areas which would be workable if driving. Tourist places are generally friendly and should be able to direct you to somewhere suitable - clean lavatories say.

Buggies

Fine in the coastal resorts which have built themselves promenades along the front, less comfortable elsewhere as pavements can fluctuate down to non-existent. Definitely not much use if you are going to be staying in the countryside.

Babysitting

The odd hotel can organise this, and some resorts organise children's activities. Notable for this are Collioure where there are art sessions for those inspired by the local artists, and Prat de Mollo La Preste with sessions for 30 months to 11 years with outings to the pool, juggling, etc.

Baby Stuff

The easiest place to find this is in the out of town supermarkets which abound, especially near the coast.
