The Algarve, Costa del Sol, Tenerife, South Carolina and Florida. Under Holiday Villas offers the Algarve, Costa Blanca, Costa Almeria, Costa del Sol, Tenerife, Lanzarote and Florida.
Style
Privately owned villas with pools, privately owned ‘cluster villas and apartments' generally on luxury estates, some with own pool all with access to communal pools, and country club accommodation. Examples include properties at Quinta do Lago on the Algarve, Golf del Sur on Tenerife, villas around Sotogrande on the Costa del Sol, and Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Orlando in Florida. Some properties sleep up to 10 but particularly recommended for larger parties are ‘cluster' accommodation options.
The Holiday Villas properties are by preference privately owned because better furnished and equipped. There are also some ‘cluster' villas and apartments. They are not dissimilar to the first selection but three to four-star rather than four to five.
Season
Year round at around half the properties, depending on availability and whether there is heating.
Facilities
Cots, high chairs and extra beds are available on request, charges payable in local currency. Details vary according to the resort.
Extras
These vary according to destination but extra maid service can be arranged in Florida and Carolina, and is standard at some Algarve properties, on Tenerife, and Costa del Sol, though frequency varies. Cluster properties or those in country clubs generally have access to bar and restaurant facilities.
Sample Price
On Costa del Sol overlooking a golf course with for example a children's paddling pool, a two bedroom apartment would be around £550 accommodation only in high season. Villas in Portugal are up to £4,000 per week. Flights and car hire can also be booked.
