In the lake district you can hire canoes and rowing boats on lakes, fjords and inland waterways for day trips or camp and canoe holidays.

 BeachesNowhere in Denmark is more than 45 minutes from the sea and there are numerous Blue Flag beaches [Clean Beaches]. The best beach area for children is southern Zealand and the islands of Mon, Lolland and Falster with calmer water than the North Sea and warm currents.
