  Many parents report that, largely because of the fabricated environment of these villages, particularly in the UK the minimum three-day booking is just enough and more would be too much. 
  Babysitting may be available. Standards, however, vary. 
  If there are restrictions on cars, single parents in particular might like to ask for a property near the car park unless you have children old enough to help unload and reload. 
  Note that in high season, ie the school holidays when most families are likely to go, free facilities are in such demand that they are spread very thin. 
  Apart from the swimming, many activities must be paid for extra. Given that the basic holiday is seldom cheap, this is worth bearing in mind. 
  While villages almost always see plenty of families, on the Continent these may not be English-speaking. This might however be good for your children's practice of foreign languages.  |
