Kate CalvertKate started her travel writing career as a journalist for LAM (London's Australasian Magazine) and eventually became its travel editor. She turned freelance in 1990, working regularly for a range of publications including Travel Trade Gazette, The Sunday Times and The Times.
Parenthood changed Kate's travels a little but she manages at least five or six overseas trips a year with Sarah, aged nine, and Conrad, three. Recognising that nowhere was providing the information she needed when planning her trips, Kate started the Family Travel web site as a subscription service for others in the same position.
In between travels Kate has written the Harden's UK Baby Guide and Harden's London Baby Guide - the UK's most comprehensive handbooks for anyone pregnant or with a toddler in the UK. Don't Give Birth Without It', said the Evening Standard. |
